NEW SINGLES  2024

Seen Better Days I wrote this song while touring a while back. Can you imagine what it's like waking up hungover and homesick while your 21 year old guitarist has already been up for hours going for a jog and writing a song every day?! Well it inspired me to write this one in about an hour. I's got a toe tappin' feel and reminds me of home.

ROAD READY DIGITAL SINGLE ART.jpg

Road Ready was is the only song I didn't write on the record. Jeff Williams who plays guitar and sings all the harmonies on this project wrote it for me. To me it's all about hitting that open road and living free. That's what I've been doing non stop the past couple of years and it feels great to sing it live. Wait til you see the videos I made for this one!

BETTER MAN DIGITAL SINGLE ART jpeg.jpg

Better Man featuring a spoken interlude by outlaw country legend Billy Don Burns. Growing up in the 70s with an alcoholic father that loved classic country music, I heard my share of those old talking songs, the ones that make you WANT to cry in your beer.  Like, Conway Twitty’s Hello Darlin’ or George Jones’s He Stopped Lovin Her Today or Kris Kristopherson’s To Beat The Devil, just to name a few.  When I was heading down to Tennessee to record with producer Denny Knight who has worked with all those guys, I felt compelled to write a song in that style.

MEXICAN FOOD, COLD BEER & TATTOOS DIGITAL SINGLE ART.jpg

Mexican Food    I wrote this one in the studio in Hendersonville. It was late, like 3am and I felt starving! I was craving for good Mexican food which isn't that easy to find at 3am. But there was a bag of Doritos on the table and some Flaming Crunch Cheetos, so I grabbed the old Gibson B25 that was hanging on the wall and started writing down random words that rhyme with taco.
